From May 26-28, at Mui Ong Doi shooting range, Phu Quoc special zone, An Giang province, Coast Guard Region 4 Command organized a live-fire test of K54 pistols, batch 2, 2b and AK submachine guns, batch 1 for officers and soldiers of affiliated agencies and units.
The inspection aims to assess the actual level of command organization, the ability to use and master infantry weapons, bravery, psychology and situation handling skills of officers and soldiers; and at the same time serve as a basis for evaluating task performance results and improving the quality of training work.
To achieve high results in inspection, in the past time, agencies and units have organized to strictly grasp the plans and instructions of all levels; maintained strict and serious training in accordance with the lesson plan, content, and prescribed time. Officers and soldiers actively reviewed and mastered the key movements and how to handle situations arising during live-fire drills. The work of ensuring training grounds, weapons and equipment and safety assurance plans were deployed synchronously and seriously.
During the inspection process, officers and soldiers strictly complied with training ground discipline, performed movement principles correctly, calmly and confidently completed the inspection contents well. The inspection results showed that many shots were quite good and excellent, ensuring absolute safety for people and weapons and equipment.
Monitoring and directing live-fire drills, Colonel Tran Nguyen Lai - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Coast Guard Region 4 Command - praised the spirit of responsibility, organizational discipline and results of practice shooting practice of officers and soldiers of agencies and units. The comrade emphasized: "Through live-fire drills, it aims to continue to improve the technical and tactical level, the ability to master weapons and equipment of officers and soldiers; thereby flexibly and effectively applying them to perform the task of managing and protecting sovereignty, maintaining security, order, and safety at sea.
The live-fire test is one of the important contents in the 2026 military training work of Coast Guard Region 4 Command, contributing to improving the overall quality, combat strength and combat readiness of the unit, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
