Towards the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day July 27, the Command of Coast Guard Region 4 organized many practical and meaningful activities in Phu Quoc special zone, An Giang province, contributing to educating revolutionary traditions, expressing gratitude to heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers and people with meritorious services to the revolution.
On July 22, Major General Dao Ba Viet - Commander of Coast Guard Region 4 chaired a ceremony to offer flowers and incense to commemorate and express gratitude to heroic martyrs who bravely sacrificed themselves in the sea and continental shelf of the Southwest of the Fatherland; express gratitude to National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc in Ganh Dau, Phu Quoc and heroic martyrs at Phu Quoc Martyrs' Cemetery.
On the same day, Colonel Nguyen Thai Duong - Deputy Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 4 Command presided over the flower and incense offering ceremony to commemorate heroic martyrs at the Phu Quoc Prison Relic Site and Nam Dam - Phu Quoc Communist Prisoner Cemetery.

At the locations, officers and soldiers of Coast Guard Region 4 Command respectfully expressed their deep gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of previous generations for the independence and freedom of the nation.
On this occasion, the unit also actively contributed to the "Gratitude and Repayment" fund with a total amount of more than 330 million VND; organized visits and gifts to 15 policy families in the area with a total amount of 15 million VND; visited and encouraged 2 military personnel being treated at medical examination and treatment facilities with a total amount of 2 million VND.

The series of practical and meaningful activities of Coast Guard Region 4 Command not only expresses deep gratitude to heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers and people with meritorious services to the revolution, but also contributes to educating patriotic traditions, fostering revolutionary ideals, and arousing pride and responsibility of each officer and soldier in the cause of managing and firmly protecting sovereignty, sovereign rights, and national jurisdiction in the sacred sea and islands of the Fatherland.
