On August 10, in Phu Quoc special zone, An Giang Provincial Police coordinated with Phu Quoc Special Zone People's Committee to organize the Launching Ceremony of the model "Joining hands to protect resources, environment and food safety in Phu Quoc special zone".
The model is implemented to promote the overall strength of the entire political system and the entire people in the work of protecting resources and environment, ensuring food safety; proactively preventing, detecting, fighting, and handling violations of the law, contributing to protecting people's health and building a safe and healthy living environment.
Through the model, the Police force and agencies, departments, branches, unions, businesses and people will strengthen coordination in exchanging information, grasping the situation, and promptly detecting problems arising related to resources, environment and food safety; promote propaganda and mobilize people, production and business establishments to raise awareness of law compliance.
Thereby, gradually forming and promoting the spirit of self-management, self-prevention, and self-protection right from the grassroots level, not allowing small violations to arise and prolong into complex issues. The launch of the model marks an important starting point in building a synchronous, regular and effective coordination mechanism between forces, agencies, units, businesses and people in protecting resources, environment and food safety. This is not only the task of functional forces alone but also requires the joint efforts and responsibility of the entire community to improve the quality of life, build civilized, attractive and sustainable tourist destinations.
In particular, the model is of practical significance in implementing the policy of building Phu Quoc special zone into a "Model unit for security, order and urban civilization". In which, protecting resources, environment and ensuring food safety are important factors contributing to creating a safe and civilized living environment, improving service quality and destination image. Proactively preventing, controlling and handling risks of environmental pollution and food insecurity not only contributes to ensuring security and order but also creates a foundation for Phu Quoc to develop in a green, clean, modern and sustainable direction.
In the context that Phu Quoc is focusing on preparing conditions to serve the APEC 2027 Summit, the implementation of the model is even more important. Each clean and beautiful road, each civilized residential area, and each business establishment that strictly implements regulations on environment and food safety all contribute to building the appearance of a safe, friendly, civilized and professional Phu Quoc, meeting the requirements of an international destination and contributing to creating a good impression on domestic and international delegates and tourists.
In the coming time, the Model Steering Committee will continue to consolidate the coordination mechanism between forces; strengthen propaganda, inspection, and supervision; promote the role of the Fatherland Front, mass organizations, businesses, security and order protection teams and people in detecting and reflecting violations.
