At the Vietnam - Japan Forum held on the afternoon of April 28, gathering more than 250 delegates who are leaders of ministries, branches and localities, along with representatives of technology corporations, research institutes, universities and leading experts of the two countries, Chairman of CMC Technology Group, Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh, delivered a speech affirming CMC's commitment to becoming a "connecting bridge" between Vietnam and Japan in the fields of science, technology, innovation, digital transformation and AI.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh emphasized: "CMC wishes to contribute to promoting scientific, technological and technological cooperation and innovation between the two countries, together creating an era of sustainable development and common prosperity".

In the journey of globalization, Japan has always been CMC's strategic market. The group has now built three offices in Yokohama, Osaka and Tokyo. Notably, on September 18, 2024, on the occasion of the opening of its office in Tokyo, CMC announced the "Enable Your AI-X" strategy, aiming to work with Japanese partners to exploit the potential of digital transformation and AI.

CMC aims to have 5,000 employees by 2028, including 1,000 employees working directly in Japan. Revenue from the Japanese market is expected to reach 200250 million USD, accounting for about 50% of the group's total international revenue. Along with that, CMC plans to invest 100 million USD to build mini data centers in Japan to serve the needs of digital transformation and AI (artificial intelligence) transformation.

CMC also emphasized its active role in realizing the working groups under the Vietnam - Japan Joint Initiative (VJJI 2024), especially in areas such as innovation, green transformation, development of supporting industries and training of highly skilled human resources.

Chairman Nguyen Trung Chinh emphasized a strong commitment: CMC will always accompany the business communities of the two countries to create an era of innovation, science and technology and artificial intelligence. We believe that, with the joint efforts of both the public and private sectors, Vietnam and Japan will together enter a new era - the era of sustainable development and common prosperity".

In addition, CMC has cooperated with the VDEC Research Center of Tokyo University, aiming to develop AI applications, semiconductors and build an innovative ecosystem in the high-tech sector in Vietnam.
