On the morning of May 27, Lao Cai Provincial Police said that Bao Ha Commune Police had just commended Nguyen Hai Nam (born 2016), a 4th grade student of Bao Ha Primary School No. 1, for his beautiful action of picking up lost items and returning them to the person who lost them.
Previously, at about 7:45 am on the same day, on the way to the market, Nguyen Hai Nam picked up a wallet that had been dropped on National Highway 279, passing through Bao Ha commune.
After checking but not identifying the owner of the wallet, Nam proactively brought all the assets to the Bao Ha Commune Police headquarters to ask for help in finding the person who lost it.
Upon receiving the information, commune police officers quickly checked the papers inside the wallet, proceeded to verify and identified the person who dropped the property as Ms. Hoang Thi Nguyet (born in 1981, residing in Lam San village, Bao Ha commune, Lao Cai province).

After that, Ms. Nguyet was present at the commune police headquarters to receive her property back. Inside the wallet were more than 1 million VND in cash, 2 citizen identification cards, 1 bank card and many other important personal papers.
Receiving all the assets back, Ms. Hoang Thi Nguyet expressed her joy and emotion and sent thanks to Nguyen Hai Nam as well as Bao Ha Commune Police officers for their dedicated support.
According to Bao Ha Commune Police, the honest and responsible action of Nguyen Hai Nam is a beautiful act, with profound educational significance, contributing to spreading positive values in the community, especially for teenagers and children.
The commune police also praised Nam's honesty, and at the same time continued to promote propaganda and education on law compliance awareness, building a civilized lifestyle among the people.
