On June 23, Lao Cai Provincial Police said that Nam Cuong Ward Police had just supported people to successfully return 89 million VND mistakenly transferred.
Previously, on June 17, Mr. Dinh Van Tuan (born 1987), residing in Bao Yen residential group, Nam Cuong ward, currently working at Regiment 752, Division 355, Military Region 2, Ministry of National Defense, suddenly received 89 million VND into his MB Bank account.
Because he did not know who the money transferor was and could not determine the origin of the money, Mr. Tuan proactively reported it to Nam Cuong Ward Police for support.

After receiving information, Nam Cuong Ward Police quickly deployed verification, coordinated to review bank transactions to find the owner of the money transfer account.
Through verification, the police force identified the transferor as Mr. Le Trong Nghia (born 1995), residing in Hac Thanh ward, Thanh Hoa province.
Working with the police agency, Mr. Nghia said that he had mistakenly entered the account number when making the transaction, leading to the mistaken transfer of 89 million VND to Mr. Tuan.

After clarifying the case, Nam Cuong Ward Police guided the parties to complete the procedures according to regulations, and at the same time coordinated to return the entire amount of money to Mr. Nghia.
Quick and regulated handling not only ensures the legitimate rights of citizens but also contributes to strengthening people's trust in the grassroots police force.
