Police continuously handle drug and online gambling crimes in Hung Yen

Hung Yen - Over the past time, Hong Chau Ward Police have continuously discovered and handled drug and gambling cases in cyberspace.

On April 29, according to Hung Yen Provincial Police, Hong Chau Ward Police continuously discovered and handled cases related to drug crimes and online gambling.

Accordingly, the Investigation Police Agency of Hung Yen Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and execute the arrest warrant for temporary detention against Tran Xuan Ha (born 1986, residing in Residential Group 3, Hong Chau Ward, Hung Yen Province) for the crime of "Illegal use of narcotics" under Article 256a of the Penal Code.

Previously, on March 7, 2026, in Nam Tien residential group, Hong Chau ward, the police force discovered Tran Xuan Ha's act of illegally using drugs. Through the verification and investigation process, functional agencies have collected sufficient documents and evidence, determining that the subject's actions are illegal.

On the same day, Hong Chau Ward Police received the surrender petition of Duong Quoc An (born 1995, residing in An Chau 1 residential group, Hong Chau ward, Hung Yen province) for gambling in cyberspace. According to the presentation, after being propagated and mobilized by the Police force and local authorities, clearly recognizing the violation, An voluntarily surrendered to the Police agency.

Hong Chau Ward Police warned that all acts of gambling in any form, especially in cyberspace, as well as acts of using and illegally possessing drugs, are illegal and will be strictly handled. People need to comply with regulations, and at the same time actively coordinate and provide information to functional forces to contribute to maintaining security and order in the area.
