According to the Hung Yen Provincial Police Electronic Information Portal, on April 28, Hung Yen Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce the decision of the Minister of Public Security and the Director of the Provincial Police on promoting the rank of Colonel and Senior Colonel in 2026. Major General Tran Xuan Anh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police attended and chaired the ceremony.
Implementing Circular No. 24/2026/TT-BCA dated March 11, 2026 of the Minister of Public Security stipulating the highest rank, which is the rank of colonel or below, for officers and non-commissioned officers of the People's Police according to their positions, titles and training levels, through review, the Provincial Police has 18 Heads of Departments and equivalents that have reached the time limit for considering promotion to the rank of Colonel; 54 Team Leaders and equivalents that have reached the time limit for considering promotion to the rank of Senior Colonel.
At the ceremony, authorized by the Minister of Public Security, Major General Tran Xuan Anh - Director of the Provincial Police awarded decisions to promote ranks from Senior Colonel to Colonel to 18 officers who are Heads of professional departments of the Provincial Police.
Next, Colonel Nguyen Thanh Son - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police awarded decisions to promote ranks from Lieutenant Colonel to Senior Colonel to representatives of 54 officials who are team leaders of professional units and Heads of Police of communes and wards.
Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Tran Xuan Anh - Director of Hung Yen Provincial Police wished the leaders of units and all officers and soldiers, especially officers who were promoted in this phase, to make more efforts and strive to be worthy of their working positions and ranks.
