On August 30, Phu Tho Provincial Police said that Viet Tri Ward Police had just clarified a property theft case that occurred at a film studio in the area.
Previously, on August 28, Mr. Dao Cuong (born in 1981, residing in Team 5, Hoa Phong Residential Group, Viet Tri Ward) came to the Ward Police to report the loss of many photography equipment.
According to the report, the incident occurred at about 9:40 pm on August 21, 2026 at a photo studio on the 2nd floor of a building belonging to Phu Tho Garment and Import-Export Joint Stock Company.
This location is located at No. 16 Quang Trung Street, Quang Trung Residential Group, Viet Tri Ward.
The lost property included 2 bags of cameras and many specialized equipment. Including 2 Sony cameras, many lenses, flashes and flash activation and control devices.
According to Mr. Cuong, the above assets were purchased in 2022 and 2024, and are currently used. The total value of lost assets as reported is about 100 million VND.
Upon receiving the report, Viet Tri Ward Police urgently deployed professional measures. Functional forces proceeded to verify, collect information, review traces and related documents to clarify the case.
Through verification, the police identified Nguyen Duy Hung (born in 1978, residing in Song Thao residential group, Thanh Mieu ward, Phu Tho province) as the perpetrator of the theft.
At the police station, Nguyen Duy Hung confessed to the crime. At the same time, Hung handed over all the embezzled assets.
All related assets have been recovered to serve the investigation and handling according to regulations.
Viet Tri Ward Police are continuing to complete the file and handle the case according to the provisions of law.
