Hung Yen Provincial Police handle and deport foreigners violating entry and exit regulations

Hung Yen - Hung Yen Provincial Police have deported a Korean citizen for staying for too long, violating the provisions of law on entry and exit.

On July 8, according to Hung Yen Provincial Police, the Immigration Management Department coordinated with the Noi Bai International Airport Border Gate Police to deport a Korean citizen who violated regulations on entry and exit.

Previously, on June 26, during the peak period of general review, inspection and handling of violations related to foreigners in the province, through reconnaissance, inspection, and verification, the Immigration Management Department discovered a Korean citizen staying for too long in Hung Yen.

Through verification, functional forces clarified that this person had the act of using a temporary residence certificate for more than 1 year without permission from a competent authority.

On that basis, the Immigration Management Department advised the Director of the Provincial Police to issue a decision to sanction administrative violations according to Point e, Clause 9, Article 21 of Decree No. 282/2025/ND-CP of the Government, with a fine of 35 million VND and applying an additional penalty form of expulsion from Vietnam.

According to Hung Yen Provincial Police, strictly handling violations contributes to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of immigration, ensuring national security, maintaining social order and safety, and creating a healthy investment, production, and business environment in the area.

In the coming time, the Immigration Management Department will continue to coordinate with functional forces to strengthen inspection and review, promptly detect and handle violations of foreigners.

At the same time, recommending foreigners to strictly comply with the provisions of Vietnamese law on entry, residence, and labor; requesting organizations and individuals inviting, guaranteeing or using foreign labor to fully perform management responsibilities according to regulations.
