After a heavy thunderstorm occurred on the evening of May 28, many households in Quy Mong commune, Lao Cai province were affected in terms of housing and agricultural production.
According to initial statistics, storms and tornadoes damaged 4 houses and blew off roofs at varying levels. In addition, about 15 hectares of crops of people were also affected.

On the morning of May 29, the unit mobilized 6 officers, soldiers and forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level to help the family of Mr. Hoang Van Vuong (born in 1987), residing in Yen Thinh village.
Mr. Vuong's family is one of the households heavily damaged, with the roof about 39% blown off after the storm.
At the scene, the police force and people collected damaged materials, reinforced the roof and rearranged furniture to ensure daily life safety.
