Nam Tay Nguyen Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. is managing about 27,000 hectares of land and forest. Of which, the forested land area is about 23,700 hectares. This is the forestry company with the largest forest area in Dak Nong province at present.
In recent years, Nam Tay Nguyen Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. has had a fairly effective secret to forest protection.
Recently, the Institute of Development Affairs (Union of Vietnam Science and Technology Associations) issued a Decision (No. 20/DNPTKTXBV) certifying Nam Tay Nguyen Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. as a Top 50 enterprises developing a sustainable green economy.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh, Chairman and Director of Nam Tay Nguyen Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. said that after 7 years of implementing the agroforestry project according to Decree 168 of the Government, the company has implemented 14 projects to plant forests and develop agricultural and forestry production with a total cost of 7.2 billion VND.
The main crops in the project include rubber, cashew and fruit trees, with a total area of 708 hectares. The project applies the form of forest land allocation and linkage with 280 households and a local organization to manage, protect and develop forests. Among them, many households are M' Nong ethnic people.
Households participating in the project are allocated land for cultivation and benefit from planting, caring for and harvesting long-term industrial crops to contribute to increasing income.
The project has also helped stabilize security and order, creating conditions for people to develop a sustainable economy.
The Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment has recognized the complex of 56 monoculture trees (commonly known as longan trees) and 1 banyan tree in Quang Truc commune under the management of Nam Tay Nguyen Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. as Vietnam Heritage Trees.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh, Chairman of Nam Tay Nguyen Forestry One Member Co., Ltd., said that the number of lentil and banyan trees recognized in the Vietnam Heritage Tree Complex this time in Quang Truc commune is hundreds of years old.
In particular, there are single-tone trees with a diameter of 10 elderly people next to each other. The age of this lentil tree is estimated to be up to 600 years old.
