On August 18, Dong A University announced that it had opened free Korean language classes for the 1st course in 2026. The program was attended by representatives of the Korean Language Center in Ho Chi Minh City, lecturers of the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture, and a large number of students.
The course attracts 110 students of various ages and occupations. Students include students and people who have worked. Some lecturers, officials, and staff of Dong A University also registered to study after working hours.
The program includes a basic class for beginners and an intermediate class for students who already have a Korean language background. Direct classes at Dong A University, lasting nearly 4 months, from August 17 to December 2.
Students are allowed to use the standard curriculum provided by the Korean Language Center in Ho Chi Minh City and certified by the Korean Ministry of Education.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Kwon Hyuk Han, Head of Administration Department, Korean Language Center in Ho Chi Minh City, highly appreciated the school's preparation and the learning spirit of students. He encouraged students to persevere, gradually get acquainted with and conquer new languages.
According to MSc. Vu Thi Ngoc Anh, lecturer at the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture, although free, the course still focuses on quality. The teaching staff has a master's degree or higher, studied in Korea and has teaching experience.
The course opens up more opportunities to learn foreign languages, cultural exchange and connect the Vietnamese-Korean community in Da Nang.
