On August 15 and 16, the Son La Provincial Labor Federation organized the 2026 Sports Festival for workers, civil servants, and laborers, with the participation of nearly 240 athletes from 27 grassroots trade unions.
Athletes compete in 3 sports including volleyball, tug of war and pickleball.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the competition content took place sôi nổi, hấp dẫn with many beautiful balls, fierce competitions, attracting a large number of union members, workers and cheering audiences.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh, a member of the Trade Union of Binh Minh International Primary - Secondary - High School, shared that participating in the tournament is an opportunity for officials, teachers, and workers to practice physical training, and at the same time exchange, learn and strengthen the connection between units.
Mr. Soi Ngoc Cuong - Chairman of the Son La Provincial Labor Federation said that the Festival is a practical activity towards celebrating National Day September 2nd, contributing to improving the health and spiritual life of union members and workers. This is also an opportunity for union members of grassroots trade unions to exchange, strengthen solidarity, and build grassroots cultural life.
At the end of the festival, the Organizing Committee awarded 8 first prizes, 8 second prizes and 14 third prizes to teams and pairs of athletes with excellent achievements in the competition events.
Through activities, the Provincial Labor Federation continues to encourage the movement of physical education and sports among workers, civil servants, and laborers, contributing to building a united, healthy and positive working environment.
