On June 19, Da Nang City People's Committee coordinated with Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) to organize the Launching Ceremony of the pilot model of Smart Kiosks and the system for authenticating and issuing digital copies of electronic documents (Digital Public Service Station).
The commissioning of the Digital Public Service Station is expected to be a step forward in the roadmap for modernizing the administration, contributing to promoting digital transformation, building digital government, digital society and improving the quality of service for people and businesses in the area.
In the pilot phase, Agribank sponsored 11 digital public service stations, installed at the City Public Administrative Service Center and communes and wards including: Hai Chau, Hoa Cuong, Cam Le, Ngu Hanh Son, An Khe, An Hai, Tam Ky, Huong Tra, Nui Thanh and Thang An.
This system applies artificial intelligence (AI) and smart identification technology, supporting people to self-perform online administrative procedures, authenticate information and request the issuance of copies of electronic documents quickly and conveniently.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Manh Hung said that the implementation of the model aims to concretize the Central Government's guidelines on developing science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. At the same time, this is an activity to continue to effectively implement Project 06 of the Government, effectively exploiting population data to serve administrative procedure reform.
According to the Chairman of the City People's Committee, in recent years, Da Nang has always identified administrative reform as a key and regular task, associated with building digital government. The city has promoted dossier resolution on the electronic environment, strengthened connection and synchronization of data with central system to simplify processes and shorten dossier processing time.
The Chairman of the City People's Committee said that the pilot smart kiosk is a gradual shift from traditional administration to smart service administration, helping people access public services more conveniently, while improving transparency. After the pilot period, the city will specifically evaluate the results to consider replicating the model.
To make the system effective, city leaders proposed that agencies and localities actively guide people to use it; ensure information security and safety and protect personal data; and at the same time continue to research and integrate new utilities towards building a multi-functional digital service station.
The operation of 11 smart kiosks in Da Nang will expand more points to support people to access public services, connect population data, electronic identification and promote non-cash payments. Agribank is committed to closely coordinating with functional agencies to ensure the system operates safely, stably and conveniently.
Also within the framework of the program, Agribank donated 1 billion VND to support social security in the field of education to Da Nang city, through the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city.
