The People's Committee of Da Nang City has just issued Decision No. 1003/QD-UBND on approving the non-project "Support for nurturing children to study and live at the Center for nurturing disadvantaged children in Da Nang City" sponsored by the Vietnam Education and Social Assistance Foundation, with a total aid value of more than 748 million VND.
The aid will be received and implemented until the end of June 2026, to provide financial support to the Center for the Care of Disadvantaged Children (Village of Hope), contributing to the care and raising of orphans and children in especially difficult circumstances who are studying and living here.
The funding will be used to pay for food, necessities, household appliances, equipment, repair and maintenance of facilities; purchase of school supplies, first aid, kitchen appliances and family; support summer activities, electricity and water costs, environmental sanitation, and phones; and pay salaries to vocational teachers, salary allowances for staff and employees of the center.
The City People's Committee assigned the City Association for the Protection of Women and Unfortunate Children to manage and use the aid in accordance with approved non-project documents and comply with legal regulations on accounting, taxes and state budget.
The Association is also responsible for presiding over and coordinating with relevant units to carry out procedures for receiving and implementing the project for the right purpose, ensuring implementation according to Decree No. 80/2020/ND-CP dated July 8, 2020 of the Government on management and use of non-refundable aid not subject to official development support.
