On December 19, according to the People's Procuracy of Hai Duong province, the People's Court of Gia Loc district opened a trial for the criminal case of organizing illegal use of narcotics as prescribed in Point b, Clause 2, Article 255 of the Penal Code. The trial was held online.
Hai Duong Provincial People's Procuracy, at 11:15 p.m. on June 1, 2024, at T.X.T's boarding house in Phuong Khe village (Hong Hung commune, Gia Loc district, Hai Duong province), T.X.T used his accommodation to provide Methamphetamine drugs, prepared tools including: 1 white plastic bottle, bottle cap with 2 small holes, one hole for a plastic straw, one hole for a glass trough, 1 gas lighter and then heated the glass trough containing drugs for T., N.D.T, V.H.S and N.T. Ph to illegally use drugs by smoking, then was discovered and caught red-handed.
At the trial, the prosecutor exercising the right to prosecute has analyzed and fully assessed the content of the case, determined the nature and level of danger of the crime, the cause and conditions of the crime, the personal background and aggravating and mitigating circumstances of the defendant's criminal responsibility.
The representative of the District People's Procuracy proposed a prison sentence for defendant T from 7 years and 3 months to 7 years and 6 months in prison. Based on the proposal of the Procuracy and the results of the debate, the Trial Panel sentenced defendant T to 7 years and 3 months in prison.
