The forum gathered speakers, researchers, and organizations from Vietnam, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Southeast Asian countries and Europe.
The Regional Pollution Forum (RFF) creates a space for dialogue, coordination and sharing of knowledge and practical experiences in solving pollution, protecting health and supporting sustainable development for each country.
Experts and organizations raise environmental challenges through experimental projects. From there, propose priority measures to control sources of air pollution, chemicals, plastics and smart waste management.
An important content presented and discussed at the RPF forum is the highly practical projects "Environmental Pollution Program in Vietnam" highlighting practical lessons from partners implemented in many localities in Vietnam in recent times. The approach of scientists in fields, of pioneering farmers experimenting on a small scale to apply sustainable farming solutions on a large scale has helped transform into effective policies with practical benefits for health, environment and economy for the community.
The Environmental Pollution Program and the Regional Pollution Forum are funded by the UK International Development Agency through the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Development (Defra).
Ms. Maria Paola Lia, CEO of GAHP, shared: "Pollution is the main cause but can be prevented, causing many diseases throughout Southeast Asia. The RPF Forum gathers countries and partners to focus on practical, evidence-based solutions that bring real health benefits, including the benefits that have been proven through GAHP's work implemented in Vietnam within the framework of the Environmental Pollution Prevention Program.
