On May 2nd, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai province said that during the Hung Kings Commemoration holiday and the April 30th - May 1st holiday, the total number of visitors to the province is estimated at about 720,000, an increase of 62%.
Of which, about 8,000 international visitors, an increase of 65%. Total number of overnight visitors reached about 418,000, the average room occupancy rate of the whole province reached about 70%.
In key tourist areas such as Ly Son and Mang Den, room occupancy rate reached from 90–95%. Many accommodation establishments in Kon Tum ward also recorded occupancy rate above 90%.
Total tourism revenue of the whole province is estimated at 532 billion VND, an increase of 71% compared to the same period last year.
The destinations attracting a large number of tourists are widely distributed from the sea and islands to the mountains. Notable are Mang Den with about 65,000 visitors, Ly Son 17,000 visitors, Kon Tum ward 32,000 visitors, Sa Huynh 40,000 visitors and Binh Son 35,000 visitors.
During the holiday, localities organize many unique cultural, sports and tourism activities such as traditional festivals, art programs, community tourism experiences and cuisine.
Thereby contributing to improving the experience for tourists, and at the same time promoting the image, culture and tourism brand of the province.
