According to the police, before that, in August 2024, Nguyen Ngoc Dung also stole dogs in Cu Kuin district and injured the landlord.

At about 23h40 on April 10, the working group of the police of Dray Bhang commune was patrolling and ensuring security and order in the area, when he discovered Dung drove a motorbike carrying Tuan and a blue sack.
Suspecting that inside the sack is a dog that has just been stolen, the task force requires the two subjects to stop the car to check.
However, Dung did not obey but also used a pepper spray to attack the functional forces. The task force immediately controlled and arrested Dung.
The subject Tuan also fought fiercely and fled into the nearby coffee garden, currently being searched.
Conducting a sack check, the authorities discovered a living dog, weighing about 10kg, wrapped in tape around the mouth.
At the police office, Dung claimed that Tuan stole a dog and was on his way to steal and was discovered and surrounded.
