On the afternoon of July 22, in Thoi Son ward, An Giang Provincial Police coordinated with the Department of Political Work (Ministry of Public Security); An Giang Provincial Youth Union; Party Committee, People's Committee of Thoi Son ward and related units to organize the program "Journey of Gratitude", exchange and seminar between historical witnesses and union members and youth.
This is a meaningful political and cultural event within a series of activities to celebrate the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day July 27, towards celebrating the 81st anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Police Force and the 21st anniversary of the All People's Day for National Security Protection.

The program took place in a solemn atmosphere with many gratitude and repayment activities to express infinite gratitude to wounded soldiers and families of martyrs, those who sacrificed their blood and bones for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
The highlight of the program is a meeting, exchange, and seminar between historical witnesses and union members and youth with the theme "Continuing the fire of tradition - Aspiration to contribute".
At the program, delegates and union members and youth were able to exchange and listen to touching and proud stories through the memories of guests who are veterans, wounded soldiers, and sick soldiers - "living witnesses" of history.
Through the program, it also affirms the role of union members and youth of An Giang Provincial Police, determined to study and follow the spirit of generations of revolutionary predecessors, considering the task of preserving revolutionary achievements as a sacred mission of youth.
Colonel Le Phu Thanh, Deputy Director of An Giang Provincial Police, said: "The war has receded, but the wounds and losses it left behind are still there. To exchange for the green color of peace today, how many outstanding children have fallen, how many mothers have forever lost their beloved children. Deeply understanding that great sacrifice, for many years, the Party Committee - Board of Directors of An Giang Provincial Police have always identified the work of caring for people with meritorious services as a central political task, a sacred moral responsibility.

Colonel Le Phu Thanh also affirmed that the work of expressing gratitude to heroic martyrs and caring for people with meritorious services is not just a matter of one day or one month, but a regular and continuous task of the whole society.
On this occasion, the Program Organizing Committee presented 15 free stone bead surgery sessions (each worth 6 million VND) and 30 gifts (each worth 600,000 VND) to wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and veterans in difficult circumstances. At the same time, organized free eye examinations, medicine distribution and gifts for 150 wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and families with meritorious services to the revolution, each gift worth 300,000 VND.
