On May 16, news from the Office of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee said that Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Nguyet assigned the Department of Health to preside over and coordinate with departments, agencies, branches, related units and People's Committees of communes and wards to review and advise on the synchronous and effective implementation of solutions to protect children, prevent and combat violence and child abuse in accordance with legal regulations.
Strengthen communication, education, dissemination of knowledge and skills to protect children to parents, caregivers and the community; improve the responsibility of all levels and sectors in detecting, receiving information, handling, intervening, and supporting children affected by violence and abuse; promptly coordinate to handle arising cases, ensuring to minimize harm to children.
Integrate the implementation of the above contents with activities in response to the Action Month for Children in 2026; strengthen inspection and review of the implementation of regulations on child protection, prevention and control of violence and child abuse in localities.
It is proposed that the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee direct member socio-political organizations to strengthen propaganda, mobilization, and raise awareness and responsibility of union members, association members and people towards the work of protecting and caring for children.
