The victims are T.T. H, 7 years old and T.T. P, 3 years old, both residing in Ban Com hamlet, Quy Hop commune.
According to initial information, on the morning of June 25, Ms. L.T. M - the mother of the 2 children - was at home taking care of her 7-month-old child when she did not see her two children anywhere, so she panicked and went to search.
After that, relatives and neighbors helped search and successively discovered that 2 children H and P had died in the pond next to the house.
Immediately after the incident occurred, local authorities visited and encouraged the victim's family. Initially, Quy Hop commune supported the family with 10 million VND. Local mass organizations are also calling for additional support for the family.
According to the leader of Quy Hop commune, Ms. M's family is in a very difficult and tragic situation. Her husband went to work far away, and she was alone at home taking care of her young children. About 3 years ago, another child of Ms. M also died from drowning.
It is known that in just the past 4 days, there have been 3 drowning incidents in Nghe An province, killing 4 children.
