On June 20, Mr. Phan Van Quoc - Chairman of Nam Gia Nghia Ward People's Committee (Lam Dong) said that a drowning incident had just occurred in the area, killing two brothers.

The two victims were identified as N.Q. V (19 years old) and N.M.Q (15 years old), both temporarily residing in Dong Gia Nghia ward.
According to initial information, at about 3 pm on June 19, local authorities received a report about a drowning incident that occurred in a deep pit on the Dak Nong stream, the border area between residential group 6 Nghia Tan (Nam Gia Nghia ward) and residential group 1 (Dong Gia Nghia ward).

Immediately after receiving the information, rescue forces and local people organized a search for the victims.
However, due to strong currents and complex terrain, rescue work faced many difficulties.
At about 11 pm on the same day, functional forces found and brought the bodies of the 2 victims ashore.
According to Mr. Phan Van Quoc, the area where the accident occurred is a spontaneous tourist attraction on the Dak Nong River. Recently, especially during the summer, many people and tourists often come here to play and swim in the stream.
Local authorities have placed warning signs about dangers and regularly advise people not to swim in streams on their own, especially in deep, fast-flowing areas to prevent drowning accidents.
Mr. Quoc recommended that families need to strengthen management and supervision of their children during the summer; do not take children to dangerous rivers, streams, ponds and lakes to limit unfortunate drowning accidents.
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported: In the afternoon of June 18, a group of 4 people came to swim in the Da Dang 1 bridge area, the border section between Phuc Tho Lam Ha commune and Dinh Trang Thuong commune, and were unfortunately swept away by water. Local people promptly rescued 1 person ashore safely.
The three missing people include Mr. Doan Manh Tai (37 years old), nephew Doan Manh Nguyen (16 years old, Mr. Tai's son) and nephew Doan Van Kim Phat (14 years old, residing in Tan Ha Lam Ha commune).
More than 100 people from the police, military, Fire and Rescue Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police and local people were mobilized to participate in the search.
Currently, the bodies of all 3 victims have been found and handed over to their families for funeral arrangements.
