On February 25, Anti-Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 2 of An Giang province coordinated with An Giang 1 Intermediate School to organize the opening ceremony of the vocational training class at the elementary level for students who are being detoxified at the Center.
During the nearly 8 weeks of study, students will be taught by teachers of An Giang 1 Intermediate School, equipped with basic knowledge about the Civil Electricity profession. At the end of the training class, eligible students will be granted vocational training certificates by An Giang 1 Intermediate School, supported with career introductions to create opportunities for stable income after reintegrating into the community.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Truong, Deputy Head of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of An Giang Provincial Police, said: "This vocational training class aims to help drug detoxification students at the Facility learn a trade, gain more knowledge, to create a legitimate income to support themselves, help their families, establish a stable life and prevent relapse. The class also contributes to training qualities and ethics, helping students become more confident on the journey of reintegrating into the community.
Through the class, to help trainees who are detoxifying from drugs have more skills and basic knowledge about civil and general occupations, have the opportunity to find sustainable jobs, which is practical and shows profound humanity in the work of supporting detoxification people to reintegrate into the community of the People's Police force.
On the occasion of the Opening Ceremony, in order to encourage the spirit of learning, Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 2 of An Giang province and An Giang Intermediate School 1 presented meaningful gifts to students participating in the class.
