This is an event in response to a series of activities to celebrate Vietnam Cyber Security Day 2026 with the theme "For a humane cyberspace for everyone", organized by the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (Ministry of Public Security) in coordination with Ho Chi Minh City Police and the National Cyber Security Association - Southern Branch.
As one of the large-scale community sports activities held in the Southern region, the race aims to spread the message "Connecting the community - Joining hands to protect Vietnam's network security".
The event attracted more than 1,000 athletes (athletes) to participate in two distances of 3km and 5km, including officers and soldiers of the People's Police; representatives of agencies, departments, branches; lecturers, students; representatives of businesses and a large number of people in Ho Chi Minh City.
Not placing emphasis on competition achievements, the race promotes the spirit of health training and the connection between specialized forces, agencies, businesses and the community; thereby contributing to raising the awareness and responsibility of each individual in ensuring security and safety in cyberspace.
The image of People's Police officers and soldiers together with representatives of agencies, businesses and people accompanying each other on the same runway vividly shows the spirit of joining hands and hearts for a safe, healthy and humane digital environment.
By approaching closely and practically, the Running Race not only brings the message of protecting network security closer to the community but also arouses the spirit of coordination, sharing responsibility and proactively participating in preventing and responding to risks and challenges in cyberspace.
Through this event, the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention wishes to continue to spread the image of People's Police soldiers being close to the people, serving the people in the digital age; and at the same time promote the overall strength of agencies, organizations, businesses and people in building a safe, healthy and civilized Vietnamese cyberspace.
