On January 17, Hung Yen Provincial Police said that they had issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the defendant and issue an arrest warrant for Kieu Ngoc Anh (27 years old, residing in Lac Dao commune, Hung Yen province) to investigate the two charges of murder and robbery. This defendant is also being investigated for the act of illegally using military weapons.
According to the police agency, Kieu Ngoc Anh is the suspect who committed two murders that killed Ms. B.T.T.L. (20 years old, from Dai Dong commune, Phu Tho province) and Ms. N.T.X. (44 years old, residing in Lac Dao commune, Hung Yen) and robbed property from the victims.
After nearly 20 hours of hiding, at about 8:20 am on January 15, Kieu Ngoc Anh went to the Nhu Quynh Commune Police (Hung Yen) to surrender.
At the investigating agency, Kieu Ngoc Anh confessed that because she needed money to spend, she had the intention to rob property. On the morning of January 14, the subject bought two sharp knives at Hoang Nha village market (Lac Dao commune) to use as weapons to commit the crime.
At about 1 pm on the same day, Kieu Ngoc Anh cycled to the B4 road area, Pho Noi A Industrial Park (Nhu Quynh commune), parked her motorbike on the side of the road waiting for an opportunity to rob property. When Ms. L. was driving a motorbike past, the subject blocked the motorbike, attacked, causing the victim to die and then seized the motorbike and fled.
On the way back to Hoang Nha village, Kieu Ngoc Anh continued to commit robbery against Ms. N.T.X. Although the victim tried to avoid, the subject still chased, committed the crime and took a handbag hanging on the victim's motorbike. Ms. X. was taken to the emergency room but did not survive.
After committing the crime, Kieu Ngoc Anh threw away the weapon, drove the motorbike to Thuan Thanh area (Bac Ninh), took about 1 million VND in the trunk of the motorbike and left the vehicle, continuing to move to Hanoi to spend the robbed money.
The case is being further investigated and clarified by Hung Yen Provincial Police according to the provisions of law.
