On July 31, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province issued a document directing the strengthening of prevention and control of avian influenza, foot-and-mouth disease and African swine fever in the province.
Accordingly, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Nam requested localities to mobilize legal resources to completely handle outbreaks, not allowing the epidemic to spread and break out.
Localities must resolutely destroy sick and suspected sick animals in accordance with regulations, and at the same time fully implement support policies for livestock farmers affected by epidemics.
The authorities need to promptly detect and strictly handle violations such as buying, selling, transporting sick animals; dumping animal carcasses that pollute the environment and spreading epidemics.
Localities must proactively fully vaccinate livestock, especially for dangerous infectious diseases; organize vaccination to ensure a minimum of 80% of the total existing livestock.
At the same time, do not let the reorganization of the apparatus affect epidemic control work.
Khanh Hoa province requires the establishment of working groups to inspect and urge the prevention and control of animal diseases, strengthen control of the implementation of regulations on hygiene, disinfection, and disinfection in high-risk livestock areas, old outbreaks, slaughterhouses, livestock and poultry markets and animal transportation points.
Along with that, the province aims to build disease-free livestock chains and areas, minimizing the risk of spread and economic damage.
The epidemic is complicated across the country
