Previously, at 12:30 pm on February 24, in Prey Chop B hamlet, Lai Hoa commune (Can Tho City), Lai Hoa Border Guard Station presided over and coordinated with the Professional Department, the Command of Can Tho City Border Guard and Lai Hoa Commune Police to catch 2 subjects red-handed for the act of illegally possessing drugs.
The two arrested subjects include Thach Sa Khol (born 2002) and Lam Tan Anh (born 1998), both residing in Prey Chop B hamlet, Lai Hoa commune.
At the scene, functional forces discovered on the subjects 17 pieces of plastic pipes sealed at both ends, inside containing white crystals and 1 white-rimmed zip bag also containing white crystals, suspected to be drugs.
The examination results determined that all the crystals above were Methamphetamine drugs, with a total weight of 2.4204 grams.
On February 27, Lai Hoa Border Guard Station issued a decision to prosecute a criminal case for the act of "Illegally possessing narcotics" under Clause 1, Article 249 of the Penal Code.
The unit is completing dossiers and procedures to hand over the subject and exhibits to Can Tho City Police to continue investigating and handling according to the provisions of law.
