On the afternoon of November 10, Mr. Phan Trong Hung - Principal of Huong Giang Secondary School (Huong Pho commune) confirmed that the school had just had an incident where a 7th grade female student was beaten and hospitalized.
That is K.L (7th grade student) who was hit in the head with a wooden gauge by his male classmate B.L (born in 2012), so he is being treated at Huong Khe Medical Center.
According to Mr. Hung, L is still being treated and the date of discharge is unknown to return to school.
The incident of L being beaten occurred during recess on the morning of November 7. When I returned home from school, I showed signs of fatigue, headache, dizziness, and nausea, so I told the parents of the person who was beaten by a friend. The parents took the child to the hospital and reported the incident to the police.
According to the Principal of Huong Giang Secondary School, B.L's family circumstances are not favorable. This male student often teases and beats his friend. Before that, this child had beaten a number of other friends 6-7 times but in no case had to be hospitalized.
"This case of B.L also made the school very uncomfortable. My grandparents once asked me to drop out of school, but the school was concerned and wanted to let me improve my education, gradually realize my behavior to change," Mr. Hung shared.
Regarding K.L, Mr. Hung said that he was also in poor health and had an underlying disease, so after being beaten, he had to be treated at the hospital, not by his family to be taken to the hospital for the purpose of being forced to pay compensation.
The Huong Pho Commune Police are currently continuing to coordinate with the school and family to clarify the incident.
