According to the investigation, due to owing Mr. Bui Ngoc A. (born in 1979, residing in An Nhon Tay commune, Gia Lai) 34 million VND and being unable to repay it, Kha fabricated that he owned a Honda SH motorbike, which he had mortgaged at a pick-up shop in An Nhon Tay ward for 15 million VND.
Hearing that, Mr. A. suggested buying the car to deduct the debt. Kha agreed with Mr. A. to give him an additional 15 million VND to redeem the car, then resell it to Mr. A. to deduct the debt. However, after receiving this money, Kha did not bribe the car but used it all to gamble.
It was verified that the SH car that Kha was holding for pledging was owned by his girlfriend. Currently, the police are continuing to investigate and clarify the incident.
