On the morning of April 30, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the people of Dien Bien province watched a major event on the small screen.
Since early morning, many families and coffee shops in Dien Bien have been busier than usual. All eyes were on TV screens and phones, where the National 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Ceremony was broadcast live.
There is no longer a jostling scene on the streets like in May 2024, but the solemn, emotional and proud atmosphere is still present clearly on every face of Dien Bien people when watching the common joyful day of the river boy.
waking up early so as not to miss any moment of the parade and parade, Ms. Lo Thi Thu Ha (Thanh Xuong commune, Dien Bien district) - still remembers her emotions when she directly watched the parade and parade commemorating the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory last year.

For the young generation of Do Pham Hai Linh (Muong Thanh ward, Dien Bien Phu city) - watching today's parade is not only a source of pride but also an opportunity to deeply express gratitude.
Thank you to the previous generation who bravely sacrificed and fell in exchange for the current peace - Hai Linh said emotionally.
According to Hai Linh, watching the event has helped young people express their gratitude for the great contributions of the heroes, martyrs... who fought their best. Therefore, this parade is also to express respect and affection for the previous generation - Linh added.
Sitting in front of the screen, many people of Dien Bien, especially veterans, cannot help but recall the Dien Bien Phu Campaign 71 years ago - the victory of "famous in five continents, shaking the world" that created a solid foundation for the Great Victory in Spring 1975, completely liberating the South and unifying the country.
Although not directly in Ho Chi Minh City, through the small screen, the people here still fully feel the heroic spirit of the nation, still reliving the memory of a heroic Dien Bien Phu.
