On the morning of May 16th, Can Loc Commune Police said that the unit had just coordinated to successfully prevent dozens of teenagers armed with weapons from engaging in a brawl.
Previously, through grasping the situation in cyberspace, Can Loc Commune Police discovered a TikTok account "htl" managed by Nguyen Minh Dien (born 2012, residing in Hong Tan village, Can Loc commune) posting many provocative contents, challenging a group of teenagers in Thach Ha area.
After the content was posted, many teenagers in Can Loc and Thach Ha districts commented, interacted, and made appointments to gather to resolve conflicts on the night of May 14 and early morning of May 15. The subjects prepared many dangerous weapons such as swords, machetes, knives, homemade iron skewers, beer bottles, bricks, stones...
Determining that the case was complex and involved many subjects in different areas, Can Loc Commune Police quickly summoned and worked with Nguyen Minh Dien and related subjects; and at the same time chaired and coordinated with the Police of Dong Loc, Xuan Loc, Tung Loc, Dong Kinh, Viet Xuyen and Thach Ha communes to synchronously implement preventive measures.
Immediately after receiving the information, the commune police urgently reviewed and summoned related subjects, seizing many weapons, tools, and means serving the gathering and fighting. Through verification, functional forces identified 25 related subjects, all of whom are individual teenagers being managed and educated by the locality.
At the police station, the subjects admitted their violations. After being propagated and educated, the subjects committed not to re-offend. Local police have also invited parents to work, requesting to strengthen management and education of children, promptly detect and prevent manifestations of gatherings, use of weapons, and violations of the law.
