On the morning of October 21, speaking to reporters, Ms. Hoang Thi Hieu - Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Uyen commune - shared: "Lung Phae is the area of the basin valley, so when there is heavy rain, water flows here, then the water only permeates gradually but there is no drainage, the water recedes very slowly".

Clarifying the cause of cage fish deaths after heavy rain in Van Don, Quang Ninh province

On October 21, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung (Cap Tien village, Van Don special zone) reported to Lao Dong Newspaper about the situation of fish raised in cages and cages of his family that have died for many days.

According to Mr. Tung, the phenomenon of dead fish appeared after a long period of heavy rain. "It is possible that due to heavy rain, the salinity of the sea water will change, causing the fish to be shocked," said Mr. Tung.

The dead fish were mainly yellow-throated arrests, some of which were parallel fish. The family has reported the incident to the local authorities and is counting the damage.
