Warning about fake AI news distorting floods in the Central region
On November 23, the Ministry of Public Security issued a warning about the situation of spreading fake news on social networks related to floods in the Central region.
According to the Ministry of Public Security, in addition to positive information, sharing with people in flood-affected areas, in recent days, there have been subjects who, instead of sympathy, take advantage of the spread of false information, especially fake news by artificial intelligence (AI) with continuous frequency.
The purpose of the subjects is to distort and attack the government and functional forces in the work of overcoming and handling; others take advantage of the fabricated situation of information about thousands of people who have died and tens of thousands of people who have not been rescued to attract views and call for support for profit.
