Ferry sinks in Quang Nam, 14 people escape death thanks to life buoys
At noon on December 23, the authorities of Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam confirmed that at 7:00 a.m. this morning, at the ferry terminal of Chua hamlet, Xuan My village (Tam Hai commune, Nui Thanh district), a ferry sank while carrying 14 people across the river.
At that time, the ferry was carrying passengers from Binh Trung to Xom Chua wharf (in the same commune as Tam Hai), in cold and rainy weather conditions, when it was close to the shore, it suddenly sank.
Fortunately, all 14 people on the ferry were safe and there were no casualties. At least 12 motorbikes and many phones and properties were sunk.

Bought a car for 100 million VND, caught fire as soon as it got on the highway
On December 23, Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 7, Department 6, Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) is coordinating with relevant professional units of Tien Giang Provincial Police to investigate the cause of the car fire on the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway.
According to initial information, at around 11:30 a.m. the same day, driver V.V.H (residing in Xuan Thoi Dong commune, Hoc Mon district, Ho Chi Minh City) drove a car with a Long An province license plate on the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong highway in the direction from the Western provinces to Ho Chi Minh City.
When reaching Tan Ly Tay commune (Chau Thanh district, Tien Giang province), the car suddenly caught fire from the front. Discovering the incident, Mr. H stopped the car in the emergency lane with his nephew, got out of the car and tried to put out the fire but were unsuccessful.

Forecast: Ho Chi Minh City needs 310,000 - 330,000 jobs in 2025
The Center for Human Resource Demand Forecasting and Labor Market Information of Ho Chi Minh City stated that the strong development of artificial intelligence (AI) is changing the labor market, creating new trends. This requires human resources to be trained in depth and updated regularly to meet the requirements.
Ms. Nguyen Hoang Hieu - Director of the Center for Human Resources Demand Forecasting and Labor Market Information of Ho Chi Minh City - said that through a survey of more than 165,000 employees looking for jobs in 2024, it showed that the demand for jobs among trained workers was nearly 164,000 people, accounting for 99.13%; the demand for jobs among unskilled workers was 1,438 people, accounting for 0.87%, mainly concentrated in job positions such as data entry staff; sales staff; marketing staff; delivery; collaborator; security staff; packaging staff; service staff.
It is forecasted that by 2025, Ho Chi Minh City will need about 310,000 - 330,000 jobs. Ms. Hieu recommends that workers need to be proactive, improve their skills and prepare for change to suit labor market trends.
