Warning of dangerous landslides on Truong Son Dong road
Rocks on the cliff side of Truong Son Dong road through Kon Tum province show signs of continuing to fall onto the road, causing landslides that threaten people's lives.
On the afternoon of November 6, Road Management Office III.4 (Road Management Area III) said that after many efforts to clear a large amount of dirt and rocks, Truong Son Dong Road at Km194+250 is now partially open.
Kon Tum Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company mobilized workers and machinery to clear rocks, estimating the volume of rocks that fell onto the road to be about 680m3.

Currently, very strong storm Yinxing is active in the sea northeast of Luzon Island (Philippines).
Latest update from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 10:00 a.m. on November 6, the center of the storm was located at about 18.1 degrees north latitude; 124.6 degrees east longitude, in the sea northeast of Luzon Island (Philippines). The strongest wind near the center of the storm is level 13 (134-149 km/h), gusting to level 16. The storm is moving northwest at a speed of about 15 km/h.
In the next 24 hours, the storm is forecast to move west-northwest at a speed of 5-10km/h. At 10:00 a.m. on November 7, the center of the storm was at approximately 18.7 degrees north latitude - 123 degrees east longitude; in the sea northeast of Luzon Island (Philippines).
The strongest wind near the storm center is level 14, gusting to level 17.

The second largest saltwater barrier in the West officially handed over
On November 6, the Irrigation Investment and Construction Management Board 10 (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) held a handover ceremony to put into use the Nguyen Tan Thanh sluice gate project. This is the second largest saltwater barrier sluice gate in the West, after the Cai Lon - Cai Be sluice gate in Kien Giang province.
Mr. Kieu Van Cong - Deputy Director of the Irrigation Investment and Construction Management Board 10 - said that Nguyen Tan Thanh sluice gate construction started on November 11, 2022, with a total capital of 518 billion VND. Nguyen Tan Thanh sluice gate has been effective since the beginning of the 2023 - 2024 dry season and saved tens of billions of VND per year in dam construction costs for Tien Giang province.
