Officially increase regional minimum wage from January 1, 2026
On November 10, the Government issued Decree No. 293/2025/ND-CP stipulating the minimum wage for employees working under labor contracts, effective from January 1, 2026, replacing Decree No. 74/2024/ND-CP.
The minimum wage increases from 250,000 - 350,000 VND/month.
According to Decree 293/2025/ND-CP, the minimum monthly salary in 4 regions is stipulated as follows:
Region I: increased by 350,000 VND, from 4,960,000 VND/month to 5,310,000 VND/month;
Region II: increased by 320,000 VND, from 4,410,000 VND/month to 4,730,000 VND/month;
Region III: increased by 280,000 VND from 3,860 VND/month to 4,140,000 VND/month;
Region IV: increased by 250,000 VND from 3,450,000 VND/month to 3,700,000 VND/month.

Number of people suspected of food poisoning after eating bread in Ho Chi Minh City increased to 235 people
Regarding the suspected poisoning incident after eating bread at the No. Bich toad bakery system, on the morning of November 10, the Department of Medical Affairs - Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health informed that as of 8:00 a.m. on the same day, there were 235 cases from 13 hospitals, of which 96 cases were being treated as inpatients.
Currently, most of the cases are temporarily stable, 1 case is severe due to underlying diseases and is being actively treated at Gia Dinh People's Hospital.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health believes that initially, clinical and paraclinical data of most patients were suitable for intestinal cultural agents, most likely Salmonella.

The largest hydroelectric reservoir in the South increases flood discharge to 800 m3/s
On the afternoon of November 10, Tri An and Dong Nai hydropower reservoirs increased their spillway discharge to 800 m3/s, bringing the total downstream discharge to 1,600 m3/s, warning people to proactively respond.
On November 9, Tri An hydroelectric reservoir increased the water discharge through the spillway to 480 m3/s, 3 times higher than before November 9.
