Dien Bien floods, many roads are seriously eroded

The prolonged heavy rain in the early morning of July 31 caused landslides and flooding on many roads, and floodwaters rose.

Speaking to Lao Dong, a representative of Road Joint Stock Company 226 (the unit managing the routes in the area) said that due to the impact of heavy rain, many important roads in Dien Bien have been flooded with soil and rock from the embankment with a large volume, causing danger to people and vehicles participating in traffic.

People in fishing villages in Gia Lai are thirsty for clean water, worried about the fierce waves hitting their homes

For many years, more than 450 households in Hai Minh fishing village (Quy Nhon ward) have been living in a state of severe lack of clean water, worried that the waves will hit their homes when the weather turns to wind, because there is no solid breakwater.

Mr. Nguyen Sanh (88 years old, residing in Quy Nhon ward) shared that the peach wells here are almost all contaminated with salt and alum, and cannot be used. The whole village only has a well with fresh water, but the amount of water is small, not enough for hundreds of households.

Ho Chi Minh City residents still consider E10 gasoline despite low prices

According to Lao Dong on July 31, 36 stores of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) in Ho Chi Minh City (before the merger) had tested the sale of E10 gasoline. This is a fuel that contains 10% of ethanol, which is expected to contribute to reducing environmental pollution and gradually replacing traditional fuels.

However, actual records show that people are still not very interested in this new type of gasoline. Many customers do not know and should be cautious when being introduced. I am still used to using RON 95 gasoline, now that I heard about E10, it is not clear whether it will affect the car or not. If I don't understand clearly, I don't dare to try it" - Ms. Binh Giang, living in Saigon Ward shared.
