Hanoi temporarily bans all vehicles on some streets on January 31st
The temporary ban on vehicles is to ensure security and traffic safety to serve the "Light Concert - Welcoming the New Year 2026" program.
Information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Hanoi City Police, on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at August Revolution Square (Cua Nam ward, Hanoi) the program "Light Music Concert - Welcoming New Year 2026" took place.
In order to serve the organization and ensure traffic order and safety, Hanoi City Police announced a plan to divert traffic and organize directions for vehicles.
From 2:00 PM on January 31, 2026 to the end of January 31, 2026, all vehicles are temporarily prohibited from circulating on roads around the August Revolution Square area.

Wild monkey attack injures people in Vung Tau

On January 30, some people exercising in the morning on Vi Ba street (the road to Nui Lon, Vung Tau ward, Ho Chi Minh City) reflected on the situation of being chased and attacked by wild monkeys, some people were injured and had to be hospitalized for treatment.
Ms. T.V (a victim) said that at about 6:30 am on January 30, while walking for exercise as usual, she was suddenly attacked by a wild monkey. "I was bitten quite deeply, almost to the tendons, bleeding a lot, so I had to go to the hospital to stitch the wound, and also get many shots," the victim said.

Lack of 6.6 million m3 of sand, two large transportation projects in Can Tho face difficulties
Lack of sand filling the foundation makes the western ring road and Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway in Can Tho difficult, and the construction progress is affected.
In the period 2020–2025, the Western Ring Road project of Can Tho city (connecting National Highway 91 with National Highway 61C) is allocated a total accumulated capital of more than 2,568 billion VND. To date, the disbursed value has reached more than 2,340 billion VND, equivalent to 91.13% of the capital plan.
Currently, the demand for sand foundation filling of the project is about 1.77 million m3, but only about 0.3 million m3 has been implemented. Nearly 1.5 million m3 remaining have not been identified for supply. In the context of concentrated sand source prioritizing expressway projects, sand prices are increasing compared to signed contract prices, road foundation filling work is facing many difficulties and there is a risk of prolonging progress.
