On July 11, Lao Cai Provincial Police said that Van Phu Ward Police had fined a facility owner in the area for not declaring temporary residence for foreigners according to regulations.
Previously, on July 7, during the inspection of compliance with regulations on residence management and management of foreigners, the Van Phu Ward Police force discovered a accommodation establishment that did not declare temporary residence for foreigners.
Through verification, Van Phu Ward Police made a record of administrative violation and issued a decision to sanction Ms. H.T. T. (born 1992, residing in residential group No. 1, Van Phu ward).
The owner of the accommodation establishment was fined for two acts: not declaring temporary residence for foreigners and not properly implementing regulations on notification of residence according to Decree No. 282/2025/ND-CP of the Government. The total fine amount is 4.75 million VND.
According to Van Phu Ward Police, the unit will continue to strengthen inspections and guide accommodation establishments to strictly comply with regulations on residence management and management of foreigners, promptly detect and handle violations.
The police also recommend that accommodation establishments when receiving foreigners must fully implement temporary residence declarations on the electronic system according to regulations, contributing to ensuring security, order and improving the efficiency of managing foreigners in the area.
