According to information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (VHTTDL) of Da Nang City, through review in coordination with the City Police, functional agencies have compiled a list of 236 social networking sites/groups containing the keyword "Da Nang" with a large scale (number of members or followers over 20,000 people).
These pages/groups are self-established by individuals or media companies. In addition to sharing useful information about life, tourism, and employment, functional agencies noted that on some of these pages, many unverified contents, false information or speculative information have appeared.
Some groups lack strict censorship, allowing members to freely post sensitive and pressing content related to land acquisition coercion, compensation clearance or complaints, lawsuits... This poses a risk of complex security and order and directly affects the prestige and image of the city.
Functional agencies also pointed out the tricks of some Facebook pages that regularly take advantage of hot current affairs to "rip off headlines", causing misunderstanding for readers in order to attract interaction (view-baiting).
To build a safe network environment, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City requests agencies, units and people to be vigilant when monitoring, commenting or sharing information from unofficial groups, especially the list of 236 pages/groups that have been identified. Absolutely do not spread information that has not been verified by competent authorities. Each individual must be responsible before the law for the content they post and comment on.
People update news from the electronic information portals of Party and State agencies and official newspapers. At the same time, Da Nang requests officials, civil servants and people to strictly implement the Code of Conduct on social networks issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications.
