Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the 37th anniversary of the establishment of Agribank (March 26, 1988 - March 26, 2025), on the morning of April 29, 2025, in Ha Tinh, Agribank in collaboration with the Fund, the Fatherland Front Committee of Huong Khe district held a ceremony to win and donate 37 houses of "hope houses" to the poor and difficult circumstances of Huong Khe district.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Huong Khe District Party Committee, Mr. Thai Phuc Son - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of Huong Khe District People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches, unions, representatives of households were awarded. On the side of Agribank, there were Mr. Phan Duy Sang - Deputy Director of Agribank Ha Tinh II Branch, Mr. Nguyen Nam Nhat - Director of Agribank branch of Huong Khe district. On the side of the Hope Fund, there was Mr. Vu Ngoc Anh - Director of Hope Housing Project.
37 houses were donated to raise funds from the online race "Million Steps of Trust" launched by Agribank from April 7 13.2025 on the occasion of the 37th anniversary of Agribank's establishment. Athletes who are officers and employees in the entire Agribank system, along with customers and partners, have together contributed meaningful steps to raise funds. Each run is a humane message, a commitment to sharing and responsibility to the community.
As a mountainous and border districts, where "fire pan, rain bag", Huong Khe is often the locality often affected by natural disasters, life and economy of a part of the people who are still not stable. The whole district has over 240 households under policy in extremely difficult circumstances, many households have to live in temporary houses and dilapidated houses. In response to the movement "Delete temporary houses, dilapidated houses" by the Prime Minister and Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Agribank accompanied the Fund hoping to support funding for construction and repair of housing for 37 households. These are not only the solid roofs, but also the nests, where the trust is conveyed about a more stable future for people, promoting the tradition of great national unity and the spirit of "not to let anyone be left behind".
The program is more meaningful when held in Huong Khe district - Ha Tinh on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. During the anti -American resistance war, saving the country, Huong Khe was the direct rear of the Southern battlefield, the "steel door" who resiliently returned many enemy sabotage raids, firmly defended the rear and fulfilled the obligations to mobilize human strength and strength to the battlefields.
During this award, one of the most emotional houses is the house awarded to Mr. Tran Viet Van's family, village 3, Huong Thuy commune, Huong Thuy district, Ha Tinh province. At the age of 98, Mr. Cau is a symbol of life, a witness of the heroic years when he has participated in fighting in Dien Bien Phu, the South and his friends Laos. His wife is Nguyen Thi Tam, now 100 years old, with bedridden illness and no longer lucid. The two grandparents lived in a serious level of four -level houses, cracked walls, leaking roofs, risk of collapse at any time. The daily lives of the two grandparents only rely on pension and allowances, most of them must spend for drugs and minimum living expenses.
His last wish was simple and urgent: "I just hope to have a solid house, so that my husband and I will no longer have to endure the cold and leaking weather when it rains." Agribank's groundbreaking and donation of the new house to Mr. Tran Viet Van is not only a material gift, but also a deep gratitude to the people who wrote the glorious history of the nation. That is also the humane message that Agribank wants to send: no one is forgotten, the sacrifices yesterday are always engraved and cherished in today's actions.
Speaking at the Ceremony, Mr. Ha Van Dan - Chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee of Huong Khe district, on behalf of localities, acknowledged and appreciated the contributions, valuable feelings, timely, effective and very meaningful support of Agribank for Huong Khe district in general and households receiving housing funding in particular.
37 years of construction and development, Agribank has always attached importance to social security work, joining hands for the community with a funding of hundreds of billions of VND per year. In 2024, Agribank spent nearly 700 billion VND on social security programs, of which nearly 230 billion VND was spent on the "Eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" movement, making a practical contribution to thousands of households across the country. The " Hope House" houses in Huong Khe are a testament to Agribank's commitment to the community, a connection of kind hearts, accompanying each other towards a more sustainable future.
