In order to raise awareness and skills in preventing drowning accidents for children during the summer, on the morning of May 25, the Fire and Rescue Police Department of Phu Tho Provincial Police coordinated with Thanh Tru Secondary School, Vinh Phuc ward to organize extracurricular activities to propagate and train drowning prevention and control skills in 2026.

The program has the participation of a large number of officials, teachers and students of the school. This is a practical activity to help students raise awareness of self-protection against unsafe water hazards during the summer vacation.

At the propaganda session, officers of the Fire and Rescue Police Department disseminated basic knowledge about the causes of drowning accidents, guided on recognizing dangerous areas and safety skills when participating in playing and swimming in ponds, lakes, rivers, and streams.

Students are also guided on skills to handle situations when encountering drowning people, skills to call for support in emergencies and self-protection measures to limit unfortunate accidents in the summer.

The highlight of the program is the Q&A session with many practical situations related to drowning prevention and control.
Many students enthusiastically participated in answering questions about handling skills when detecting a friend in danger underwater, notes to remember when swimming, or how to find safe support.
In addition to propaganda, functional forces also directly guide first aid skills and initial handling for drowning victims, helping students gain more practical knowledge and improve their ability to respond when encountering incidents.
Through extracurricular activities, students are equipped with more necessary skills to proactively prevent drowning accidents, contributing to building a safe learning and playing environment in the summer of 2026.
