On August 8, in the Tho Chau special zone, An Giang province, a working delegation led by Colonel Dao Hai Dang, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, inspected and worked with Party committees, authorities and armed forces in the area on the results of coordination in implementing Decree No. 03/2019/ND-CP of the Government.
Specifically, it is a sea and island area, with an important position in terms of national defense and security, the coordination between forces in Tho Chau is identified as a regular task, of particular importance. The forces have focused on coordinating to grasp the situation from the grassroots level, manage the area, manage residence, and activities of people and vehicles at sea; proactively detect, exchange, and handle issues related to security and order from early on, from afar, without allowing hot spots, passivity, or surprise to arise.
Along with that, the Police and Military forces maintain coordination in patrolling, controlling, and protecting key targets and projects; preventing and combating crime and law violations; fire prevention, fire fighting, rescue; disaster prevention and search and rescue. Thereby contributing to improving the efficiency of state management of security and order, consolidating the all-people national defense posture associated with the people's security posture, creating a stable environment for people to feel secure in working and producing.
At the working session, delegates focused on evaluating the achieved results, and at the same time exchanged difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing the coordination mechanism; agreed on solutions to improve the effectiveness of information exchange, grasp the situation and handle arising cases in the area, especially in the context that Tho Chau is a remote island area, and the conditions for travel and deployment of forces are still difficult.
Speaking at the working session, Colonel Dao Hai Dang, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, acknowledged and highly appreciated the spirit of responsibility and close coordination between the Police and Military forces and the Party Committee and government of Tho Chau special zone in implementing Decree No. 03 in the past time. The comrade emphasized that for areas with strategic locations such as Tho Chau, the requirement is to continue to promote the overall strength of the entire political system, in which the Police and Military forces must play a core role in ensuring security and national defense.
Colonel Dao Hai Dang requested that in the coming time, the forces continue to strictly implement the coordination regulations, proactively exchange information, regularly review and assess the situation, especially issues that may affect political security, social order, safety and national defense in the sea and island areas. In all situations, it is necessary to ensure the principle of close, unified, timely coordination, in accordance with functions and tasks; improve the ability to handle situations right from the grassroots level, not to be passive or surprised.
The Deputy Director of the Provincial Police also reminded the forces to continue to link the work of ensuring security and national defense with building a solid people's hearts battle; promoting the role of the People in protecting sovereignty, security, and order in the area.
