In the days leading up to Tet, the demand for entertainment and travel increases, posing a potential risk of insecurity and social disorder. Task Force 1311 coordinates with professional departments and the Youth Patrol Team of Hue City Police to simultaneously launch operations, strengthen patrols, inspections, and handle violations, especially street crime and violations of traffic safety at night.
Prevention early, from afar
Lieutenant Colonel Ha Thi Sy - Deputy Head of the Criminal Police Department of Hue City Police said that, implementing the peak period of ensuring security and order to serve people celebrating Tet, force 1311 has developed specific plans, arranged forces and vehicles to patrol the area tightly, not allowing criminals to take advantage of activities.
Task forces focus on patrolling at key routes and areas; promptly detecting and handling acts of theft, robbery, and snatching of property at night. At the same time, functional forces strengthen control over groups of young people driving large displacement motorbikes gathering, swerving, zigzagging, revving engines, causing traffic unsafety.

According to records, on many central roads, force 1311 maintains continuous patrols. Every night, working groups make records of 15 - 20 violations, mainly for the offense of not wearing helmets, driving vehicles without license plates, not having a driver's license, and violating alcohol concentration.
According to statistics, since the peak period was implemented, the forces have coordinated to handle nearly 300 cases of violations among teenagers, temporarily seized dozens of vehicles, and prevented many conflicts from arising.
Notably, some groups of subjects with acts of revving engines, swerving, filming clips and posting them on social networks to "show off", causing public outrage have been discovered and clarified.
Strengthening overnight patrols
Along with professional departments, the Youth Patrol Team of Hue City Police promotes the pioneering role, maintaining patrols from 8 pm to 4 am the next morning throughout the period before, during and after Tet.
Major Tran Anh Tien - Head of the Youth Committee of Hue City Police said that in addition to the task of suppressing crime, the force also promotes propaganda and reminds people to raise their vigilance, especially at flower markets, commercial areas and crowded areas at night; proactively preserve property, not to let bad guys take advantage.
During the peak period, key forces such as the Criminal Police, Drug Crime Investigation Police, Economic Police and Police of wards and communes in the area simultaneously deployed measures to fight and prevent crime.
Units review and strictly manage key subjects; firmly grasp the situation from the grassroots level; promptly detect and handle violations; and at the same time ensure traffic safety and order, urban order, and prevent complicated and unexpected situations from occurring.
In parallel with professional work, the Police force advises Party committees and authorities to mobilize the entire political system to participate; launch the movement "All people protect national security"; consolidate self-management models at the grassroots level.
With a proactive, drastic and synchronous spirit, the peak period contributes to reducing crime, maintaining security and order, and creating a safe environment for people to enjoy Spring and welcome a peaceful Tet.
