Ambulance hit pedestrian to death on the eve of Tet

    Lam Dong - A woman walking across National Highway 20 was hit by an ambulance and died on the spot.

    Initial information, the accident between an ambulance hitting a pedestrian occurred at 7:10 pm on February 15 (28th Tet), at km89+700, passing through Da Huoai 2 commune (Lam Dong).

    At the above time, an ambulance with license plate 49A-852. 54 driven by driver Nguyen Tien Dung (33 years old, residing in Cam Ly ward - Da Lat) was traveling in the direction of Da Lat to Ho Chi Minh City.

    When arriving at the above location, the car collided with Ms. Thai Thi Lap (64 years old, residing in Da Huoai 2 commune) who was walking from left to right on the road. As a result, Ms. Lap died on the spot.

    According to functional agencies, at the time of the accident, the ambulance was carrying a female patient from Lam Dong General Hospital and 2 family members moving to Ho Chi Minh City for further treatment.

    Currently, functional agencies are examining the scene and investigating to clarify the cause of the accident.
