Tet is always a time for reunion, when the roofs are filled with laughter, young children are excited in new clothes and waiting for lucky money envelopes at the beginning of the year. However, in many highland villages, there are still many young children lacking that full warmth. Old, worn-out clothes, bare feet in the cold make the story of a complete Tet become difficult.
Stemming from the desire to share difficulties and bring a warm Tet to children in remote and isolated areas, the Vietnam Youth Linkage Club in coordination with the Phu Tho Provincial Inspectorate, the Three Regions Disaster Response Group and accompanying units organized the program "Spring Connection, Loving Tet" (taking place from February 6 - 10, 2026).
This is also the 12th year that the program series has been organized to share with people and children in difficult highland areas every Tet and Spring occasion.
In 2026, the organizing committee mobilized resources to present 3,000 gifts to people and children in some northern mountainous provinces. Especially in Quy Duc commune, Phu Tho (belonging to Da Bac district, former Hoa Binh province) - a difficult area, the delegation organized an early reunion meal, presented 500 Tet gifts, and visited policy families, people with meritorious services and poor households.

The highlight of the activity is the youth camp fire exchange program with people in mountainous areas with the theme "Vietnamese youth, firmly believing in the Party" advancing into the era of national rise, celebrating the brilliant success of the 14th National Party Congress. In the flickering fire in the mountains and forests, the distance seems to be erased, giving way to cohesion and belief in a new year full of hope.
The 12-year journey accompanying people and children in mountainous areas with so many emotions, from the sharing of love from units and philanthropists, has brought a warm and timely Tet every Tet and Spring.
That journey is the belief and love to send more valuable motivation to all circumstances, expressing the spirit of mutual affection, giving full love and sharing, through activities, we hope to continue the series of meaningful companionships to bring good values to the social community in the near future," Mr. Nguyen Phuc Dai - Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Link Club, Head of the Organizing Committee shared.

The "Spring of Connection, Loving Tet" activity series will continue to give thousands of Tet gifts in many localities, gifts including: warm blankets, warm life jackets, notebooks, food, Tet cakes and candies, traditional green banh chung... and many other meaningful gifts, both material and spiritual, will be handed directly to children in mountainous areas.
The journey "Spring of Connection, Loving Tet" is not only an annual charity activity, but also a reminder of the tradition of "the healthy leaf protects the torn leaf" - a sustainable value that has connected Vietnamese people through generations.
