On August 19, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization and the Red Cross Society of Ben Tre ward organized the 1st Voluntary Blood Donation Day in 2026, celebrating the 81st anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day 2/9.
With the spirit of "Each drop of blood given - One life left behind", from early morning, a large number of people were present at the blood donation point, sharing the desire to contribute to supporting patients in need of blood.
Before donating blood, volunteers undergo health screening, counseling and fully implement the steps according to the regulations of the health sector, ensuring safety for donors and the quality of blood sources received.
As a result, the 1st Voluntary Blood Donation Day in 2026 in Ben Tre ward received 135 units of blood, contributing to supplementing blood sources for emergency and treatment of patients.
Voluntary blood donation activities not only contribute to supplementing blood sources for medical facilities but also spread the spirit of mutual affection and responsibility to the community among officials and local people.
