Explore advanced agricultural models
The tour is an opportunity for rural youth across the country, especially those who are excellent in agricultural production, to learn and exchange experiences from leading units in the agricultural sector.
At ThaiBinh Seed Plant Research Institute, delegates were introduced to the process of researching and developing new plant varieties with the support of high technology.
“We not only focus on improving productivity but also pay attention to the sustainability and adaptability to climate change of crop varieties,” said Mr. Tran Manh Bao - Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of ThaibinhSeed Group Joint Stock Company.

Tien Dat Aquaculture and Trade Service Youth Cooperative is a typical example of youth dynamism in economic development.
With a smart aquaculture pond system, using sensors to monitor water quality and automate the feeding process, the Cooperative has achieved outstanding economic efficiency.
“We want to prove that farming does not have to be hard work but can still bring high profits if the right methods and technology are applied,” said Mr. Nguyen Xuan Su - Director of the Cooperative.
Toan Van General Trading Joint Stock Company brings another perspective on the value chain in agriculture. In addition to production, the company also promotes product commercialization, brand building and market expansion.
Ms. Mai Thi Tuoi - Vice President of the Thai Binh Provincial Youth Union, Deputy General Director of Toan Van General Trading Joint Stock Company - emphasized that it is important that agricultural products be consumed effectively, through modern trade channels, to meet the increasing needs of consumers.
Aspiration to build sustainable agriculture
Participating in the program, rural youths were impressed and inspired by these models. Mr. Le Van Thuong - a young farmer from Quang Nam - shared: "I am really impressed with the smart aquaculture model of Tien Dat Cooperative. Before, I always thought that farming was hard work, but through this trip, I understood that if we know how to apply technology, everything will be much easier."

Mr. Nguyen Sy Thang - representative of rural youth in Hai Phong City, who received the Luong Dinh Cua award this year - shared: "I feel proud to see many young people boldly starting businesses and mastering technology in agriculture. What I learned today will help me improve my fruit tree growing model, especially the application of technology to save water and increase productivity."
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Van - Head of the Central Youth Union's Rural Youth Department, the 2024 National Rural Youth Festival not only honors outstanding young people but is also an opportunity to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship in the agricultural sector.
"I believe that today's young people will become the factors that change the face of rural Vietnam in the future," said Ms. Van.
